Korea-Caribbean Climate Sustainability Summit
CEC and members of the Energy Efficiency/ESCO taskforce attended the seminar hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Trinidad.
The Caribbean region, composed primarily of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), faces acute challenges from climate change. This seminar brought together Caribbean stakeholders, Korean experts and international institutions to reflect on region-specific climate vulnerabilities and explore tailored, sustainable pathways forward. It also served as a platform to examine Korea’s green growth strategies and their relevance to the Caribbean context, as well as the critical role of institutions such as the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in supporting low-carbon, climate-resilient development.
CEC thanks the Embassy of the Republic of Korea for organising this important seminar and for inviting CEC and our Energy Efficiency colleagues.
CEC looks forward to finding ways to work with GGGI who will present their work at the CEC Board in February 2026.
