Legal Association of T&T(LATT) / CEC Webinar:
In early June 2025, CEC and LATT hosted a webinar on the importance of Energy Efficiency (EE) and an introduction of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) which is one of the more optimal ways to implement EE in the region.
The session was introduced by Frederick Gilkes (LATT) and Eugene Tiah (CEC).
The webinar gave an introduction to Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and their role in T&T presented by Goncalo Mendes, EuroCham of TT.
John O’Rourke, Sustainable Energy Finance Association (SEFA), gave an overview of the fundamentals and international best practice on ESCO contracts.
There was then a roundtable on “Partner Obligations and Liabilities under Performance Contracting” moderated by Melanie Chen (CEC) with the following panelists:

- Andre Escalante, Energy Dynamics
- Avin Hardeo, Republic Bank
- Soren Lutken, UN, Global ESCO Network
- Stefanie Nour, Econoler
