Council of Caribbean Engineering Organisations
The Council of Caribbean Engineering Organisations and Engineers (CCEO) is a non-profit organization with the objective to advance the science, art and practice of engineering in the public interest, and for this purpose:
- To group the organisations of Professional Engineers in different Caribbean countries into one regional organisation and to promote the establishment of Professional Engineering organisations where such do not exist.
- To study, promote and protect in common the professional interests of member engineering organisations.
- To foster cooperation and the exchange of information concerning engineering matters among the members and to facilitate co-operation with other regional and international organisations collaborating in technical affairs.
- To set up standards and rules of ‘professional conduct for engineers in conformity with the responsibility and dignity of the profession and to watch over their application and observance.
- To encourage the maximum use of the members from the various regional engineering organisations in the social and economic development of the region.
- To foster the education, training, and professional development of engineers at all levels of professional and technical competence.
